In Fall 2012, we welcome two new faculty members to the Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences.
Dr. Beth Caissie comes to ISU from University of Massachussetts Amherst, where she recently finished her PhD. Her research concerns paleoclimate and paleoceanography derived from analysis of sea ice proxies in sediment cores. She will be teaching GEOL 101 this coming spring semester.
Dr. Franciszek “Franek” Hasiuk joins us after several years as a researcher at ExxonMobil. His research includes sedimentary geology and geochemistry as well as petroleum geology. In spring 2013, he will teach GEOL 102.
Welcome to Iowa State Beth and Franek!
