Research
Dr. Aanstoos has led research activities in various applications of remote sensing technologies. Most recently the focus has been on the use of synthetic aperture radar and multispectral imagery for earthen levee vulnerability assessment. Other recent research activities have included satellite precipitation estimation, land cover mapping accuracy assessment, and terrain database visualization.
